Going on from previous comments, I didn't have any black cardomen so used white pods instead, just upped the numbers a bit. My question is this, could you use ground cardomen instead of the pods, and if so, what would the ratio be, 1/2 TSP per 3 pods? as availability of black pods is very difficult as I live in rural France

My wife found this to be a little too spicy. What would be the best way to reduce the heat (spice)? I already cut the amount of chili powder in half. Maybe I should leave out the green chilis?
